How to request for a special in-flight meal?

Most of the airlines charge for in-flight meals & do not offer free meals. The option to place a meal request appears when you purchase tickets online or you can place your request directly with the airline. Special meal requests should be placed at least 24 hours before scheduled departure. These requests are usually not guaranteed and should be considered as a request only with complete discretion on the airline.

Why did the offered fare increase while making the flight booking?

The airfares are updated on a minute-by-minute basis. They are dependent upon demand and availability of the tickets at that particular time. The time between the flight search and the actual booking by you or our agents, the seat inventory in a particular class of booking may sell out. Because of that, the airlines offer their other inventory at a higher price. We, as an agency, monitor these change in fee and always put our best effort to keep the inventory and fares as per the current fare.

Is the value of the airfare guaranteed?

All airfares are subjected to changes without any prior notice. The fares are not guaranteed till the time you have made the complete payment and tickets have been issued. In the event of a technical issue, an incorrect fare might be displayed. We hold the right to advise you about the correct fare within 3 business days after you have made the booking. You have the option to accept the new fare or cancel your booking. Please read more about this in our Terms & Conditions Agreement.

Can we make changes to the ticket after it has been booked?

Change of the name is not permitted. You must verify the accuracy of information before booking your request. It is your sole responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information. To avoid any errors in the booking made, you must confirm the same with our agents at the time of booking.

Are taxes included in the listed airfare?

New Airline Passenger Protection Rules of the U.S. Department of Transportation make sure that the advertising of airfares & baggage fees are effective on Jan 24, 2012. All fares listed from there are inclusive of taxes (airline/airport fees) which are associated with the ticket price. The ticket fare is inclusive of the base airfare and applicable taxes by the government of the US.

Is there a fee involved for making changes to the airline ticket?

Will I be requiring a printed ticket or an e-ticket?

At the time of booking, you will be notified whether you are getting an e-ticket or a printed ticket. If the form of your ticket changes for a technical issue, we will send you a notification within 24-hours of booking. Usually, when making a booking with multiple airlines that do not have ticketing agreements we must issue a printed ticket for you. For this, an email will be sent to you, notifying you the same.

When can I confirm my reservation?

It is advised that you call the airline 72 hours before the scheduled departure. This call will ensure you about the time of your flight and will reconfirm your reservation. Additionally, you must also reconfirm your Return flights at the same time.

Can I add a passenger to an existing ticket booking?

A passenger can be booked by making a new reservation and we cannot guarantee the availability of the fare or flight to be the same as that of the existing booking.

What would happen to my baggage in case of change of planes?

If you plan to change planes and the airlines that you are flying offers a baggage agreement, your baggage will be checked at all airports. Otherwise, if it is not offered, it's your responsibility to go to the Baggage Claim section at every airport and claim your baggage. Please check the baggage till the final destination.

What all documents are needed for making the booking?

The documents required keeps on changing depending upon the city of departure, arrival, change of planes and country of passport issuance.

You must call the airline and give them the necessary information to get the accurate details of required documents. Please note the information you receive from the airline is solely your responsibility. Neither Fareobuddy nor the airline is liable in case you reach the airport with insufficient documents. It is important to note that if you don't have sufficient documents, you can be denied the right to board the flight.

What are the different kinds of the trip?

What classes are available on a plane?

Economy class: The main cabin area and is the least expensive option.

Business-class: Features seats with additional seating space with more legroom and meal service. Business-class tickets cost more than Economy Class.

First-class: Nearest to the aircraft front and the most comfortable seats, and gives all its occupants access to upgraded meals, shorter check-in line, business lounge access. First Class fares are the most expensive.

What flight options are available?

Non-stop flights:These flights don't stop or change at any other airport in between before the final destination.

No change of flights but a stopover: Up to 2 landings and departures that may not be disclosed upon booking, but there is no change of planes.

Connecting flights: One or more landings and have more than one departure. You will have to get off the plane and board again for another flight.

What documents are required to get through airport security?

For domestic travels: Boarding Pass, government or a state-issued photo ID such as a passport or driver license & flight itinerary. A valid passport is required for all air travel outside the US. Many countries require a visa to permit entry.
