Germanwings Reservations
Germanwings is a low-cost airline based in Cologne, Germany. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Group and operates under the Eurowings brand. It has operations hubs at Stuttgart Airport, Cologne Bonn Airport, Berlin Tegel Airport, Hamburg Airport, Dortmund Airport and Hannover Airport. Currently, the airline flies to 86 destinations using a fleet of 23 aircraft which include 16 Airbus A319-100 and 7 Airbus A320-200 planes.
Germanwings began its operations in 1997 as a low-cost department under Eurowings. It went on to become a separate company under its present name on 27 October 2002. It operated independently as a budget carrier for Lufthansa till October 2015, after which Lufthansa transferred the brand identity to Eurowings. It uses two frequent flyer programs: Miles & More and Boomerang Club. The airline has codeshares with All Nippon Airways, Air Canada, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and United Airlines.
